RHA today announced its flagship T10i in-ear headphone has been selected as a winner of the prestigious “Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015”, recognising outstanding product design and innovation.

The Germany-based Red Dot awards began in 1954 and are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. The Red Dot is now the largest and most distinguished design competition in the world; the Product Design award recognises excellence in products for their degree of innovation, quality of functionality, ergonomics, and durability, among other factors.

The 2015 Red Dot Award competition received a record 4,928 submissions from designers and companies from 56 countries. Award winners are determined by a panel of 38 expert judges who take part in a dedicated jury session spanning several days during which nominated products are tested, assessed and discussed to establish which products deserve to be named the best of 2015. The T10i was named amongst the 2015 winners by the judging panel for its “uncompromising competency and considerable courage...against the best in the industry”.

“We are delighted that the T10i has been recognised with one of the highest honours in the product design world by winning a coveted Red Dot Award,” said Lewis Heath, Product Director of RHA. “Being recognised by the judging panel underlines our dedication to outstanding listening experiences based on technological innovation and our commitment to quality design.”

RHA’s flagship T10i high fidelity, noise isolating in-ear headphone has received widespread critical acclaim for its use of pioneering technologies, materials and manufacturing processes. The product, launched in November 2014, features a unique ergonomic design in metal injection moulded stainless steel in addition to handmade dynamic drivers, patent pending mouldable ear hooks and a custom tuning filter system.

The T10i headphone will be unveiled at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany, on 29th June 2015, the world’s largest exhibition of contemporary design.
